From 1am AEST Wednesday 13 October, the Bourke Shire, Broken Hill, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Unincorporated Far West local government areas (LGAs) will be considered part of the non-restricted border zone. This means that residents of those LGAs and Queenslanders travelling to these areas will be able to cross the border for more reasons. There are no Local Government Areas in the restricted border zone.
