SOURCE: QLD GOVERNMENT

From 1am AEST Wednesday 29 September 2021, the Tweed Shire and Byron Shire local government areas (LGAs) will no longer be part of the restricted border zone. This means that only the non-restricted border zone rules will apply and residents of those LGAs and Queenslanders travelling to these areas will be able to cross the border for more reasons.

Also, Tweed Shire and Byron Shire will no longer be considered interstate places of concern.
