SOURCE: QLD GOVERNMENT

Since 1am AEST 23 September 2021, the City of Lismore and Brewarrina Shire Council local government areas (LGAs) are no longer part of the restricted border zone. These LGAs are now part of the non-restricted border zone instead.

The border pass system is being updated and people from Lismore and Brewarrina Shire that have applied for a border pass will receive a text message when they can re-apply for a pass. In the meantime, please bring proof of residency in those LGAs to the border.

Since 1am AEST 22 September 2021, Byron Shire and Tweed Shire are part of the restricted border zone as well as declared interstate places of concern.
