VICT closure due to positive COVID-19 case

Monday, September 20, 2021

Following COVID-19 cases reported over the last week at DP World and Hutchison (both at Port Botany), Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received advice from the Victorian International Container Terminal (VICT) that they have also experienced a COVID-19 case and are working with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to determine the close contacts.

At this stage, VICT will be closing effective immediately for landside operations for a deep cleaning exercise and anticipate being back up and running from 10pm subject to DHHS advice.

VICT have made the following request

"Please bear with us while we work through the process to accommodate those bookings that have been affected by the closure.

As soon as we have clear direction on our ability to resume operations, we will send that advice via notices.

Trucks already inside the terminal are advised to leave without completing their transactions"

Further updates will be posted at www.FTAlliance.com.au
