Patrick Terminals - Brisbane, Fremantle and Melbourne MUA Protected Industrial Action

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) wish to advise that we have received notification from Patrick Terminals in relation to new "Protected Industrial Action (PIA)" by the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) at Patrick Terminals Fremantle, Brisbane and Melbourne.

New industrial action notifications have been received from the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) for our Fremantle terminal including consecutive 24 hour stoppages and have been included in the list below in bold

Terminal Operations Update

Patrick Terminals - Sydney AutoStrad
  • There are currently no delays due to industrial action
Patrick Terminals - Brisbane AutoStrad
  • The terminal is currently experiencing delays of approx 2 days due to industrial action.
  • One vessel has been subcontracted due to industrial action.
Patrick Terminals - Fremantle
  • The terminal continues to be impacted by industrial action resulting in some extended port stays for vessels.
  • The 24-hour industrial action stoppages are expected to heavily impact three scheduled vessels arriving in Fremantle.
Patrick Terminals - Melbourne
  • The terminal continues to be impacted by industrial action resulting in some delays with delays expected to increase in relation to new notifications.
