Queensland restrictions update


From 4pm Friday 27 August 2021 most restrictions  will ease in South East Queensland (Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan, Redland, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim). The following restrictions will remain in place until 4pm Friday 10 September 2021:

  • Face Masks will continue to be required in Sough East Queensland
  • Students who have been in an impacted area must be fully vaccinated to enter a vulnerable facility as part of a placement connected to their enrolled course of study.
Until then, current restrictions will remain in place for South East Queensland.

Easing of restrictions in South East Queensland.

From 4pm AEST Friday 27 August, the recently affected 11 Local Government Areas in South East Queensland will east to stage 3 restrictions to join the rest of Queensland with the exception of mask wearing. Mask wearing requirements will continue to apply until 4pm AEST Friday 10 September 2021.

Student who have been in an impacted area in the last 14 days must be fully vaccinate to be able to enter a hospital, age care or disability accommodation service for a placement connected to their enrolled course of study.

From 4pm AEST Friday 27 August, restrictions for the South East Queensland Local Government Areas an the rest of Queensland will include:

  • Up to 100 people in your home, including people who live there
  • Up to 200 people or 1 person per 2 square metres or 100 per cent capacity with ticketed an allocated seating. Indoor wedding ceremonies must have a COVI Safe Checklist in place and collect contact details via the Check in Qld app. Outdoor ceremonies have no restrictions and o not have to collect contact details,
  • There are no density restrictions for businesses that operate only outdoors. All indoor settings can have up to one person per two square metres or 100 per cent capacity with seated, ticket allocations including stadiums.
Until then, current restrictions will remain in place for South East Queensland
