New South Wales
From 8pm AEST Saturday 14 August 2021 New South Wales border zone residents can only enter Queensland for obtaining essential goods and services that can't reasonably be obtained in NSW. Read more about updated Queensland's border zone rules for Northern New South Wales.
From 13 August 2021 restrictions are in place for anyone who has been in the Walgett Shire, Bourke Shire, Brewarrina Shire, Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, City of Lismore or Richmond Valley Council Local Government Areas since in the last 14 days or since the identified start date (whichever is later).
All of New South Wales is a COVID-19 hotspot. Only returning Queensland residents, or someone with an exemption to enter, will be able to come into Queensland.
Australian Capital Territory
The Australian Capital Territory is a declared a hotspot from 1am AEST 14 August 2021. Only returning Queensland residents, or someone with an exemption to enter, will be able to come into Queensland.
Anyone who arrived in Queensland before 1am AEST 14 August 2021 who has been in the Australian Capital Territory in the last 14 days or since 1am AEST 9 August (whichever is later) must follow stay at home restrictions.
Victoria
All of Victoria is a COVID-19 hotspot. Only returning Queensland residents, or someone with an exemption to enter, will be able to come into Queensland. From 1am 8 August 2021, anyone arriving from Victoria will need to go into hotel quarantine.
