AUTHORISED WORKERS

In terms of authorised workers, we are delighted to advise that our advocacy has contributed to an expanded definition within the Public Health Order (Reference 27,28,29,30,31 "Transport, postal and warehousing"):
  • seaport and airport operations;
  • freight, logistics, postal, courier or delivery services - including food logistics, delivery and grocery fulfilment;
  • export supply chain operators;
  • distribution of food, groceries and sanitary products for sale by supermarkets, grocery shops or other shops that predominantly sell food or drinks; and
  • warehousing
Full reference list of Authorised Workers is available HERE

BIOSECURITY

We also note Reference 20 "Agriculture - biosecurity and food safety personnel undertaking critical duties" – we are engaging with industry colleagues and the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources to determine operational impacts in the three LGAs and Greater Sydney with details to be incorporated into an imminent departmental Industry Advice Notice (IAN).
