Decrease in the Petroleum or Engine Fuel Monitoring Levy (PEFML) on 1 July 2021

Customs number verification

A large number of calls from Brokers are received by our Contact Centre requesting to confirm whether a client code number is correct.

As of 1 July 2021 Customs will no longer accept calls from Brokers to verify the accuracy of a client code.  The responsibility for the use of the correct number is with the client and the broker. This can be confirmed by requesting written confirmation of the customs number/code from the client.
