The following additional information has also been sent to CTAA by Freight Victoria (Victorian Department of Transport):

QR code check-in to work premises using Service Victoria application:

All businesses and workplaces must ensure all workers and visitors check in using the free Victorian Government QR code connected to the Service Victoria app. Freight and logistics employers should note:

  • A vehicle while being used for work purposes is a work premises.
  • In any work premises, if it is not possible to check in using a smart phone, an alternative check-in system must be provided, either a tablet or a paper-based system.

While check-in compliance is not currently being enforced in work premises where this is a new requirement, employers should plan the locations and areas for QR codes, register their work premises on the Victorian Government coronavirus Register to use the Victorian Government QR Code Service webpage, then generate and print QR code signage.

Victorian Border Permit - NSW sites of concern:

Due to public health risk associated with community transmission of COVID-19 in NSW, the CHO has designated several NSW Local Government Areas (LGAs) as orange zones under Victoria's travel permit system:

  • City of Sydney, Waverley and Woollahra – effective 11:59pm 17 June 2021.
  • Bayside, Canada Bay, Inner West, Randwick – effective 11:59pm 20 June 2021

Anyone who has visited these LGAs should check the list of exposure sites on the NSW Government Latest COVID-19 news and updates webpage.

Commercial freight workers entering Victoria from these LGAs should apply on the Victorian Government
Service Victoria website for the Specified Worker (Low Workplace Interaction) Permit. Under this Permit, a COVID-19 test is required once every seven days.

Testing sites and wait times are listed on the State's coronavirus
where to get tested webpage.

COVID-19 vaccination roll-out – key updates:

Online bookings are now available for vaccination appointments through the coronavirus vaccination centres webpage. Bookings are essential including for people aged 40-49 years receiving the Pfizer vaccine, as not all vaccination centres have the Pfizer vaccine available.

There is updated advice on the use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. On the basis of new evidence, it is preferred that the Pfizer vaccine be provided to adults under the age of 60. The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI)
statement provides more information.

People who have received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine without any serious adverse events should proceed with the second dose of the same vaccine.
