Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) are maintaining direct and close contact with various government department and entities in relation to the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Melbourne.
We understand that there will be an impact on the delivery of regulatory functions by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) as many of their staff live in the north-west corridor – which is where the growing list of exposure zones are. This means a high number the department staff across various functions have been directed by the Victorian Department of Health to test and isolate.
