Offshore Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Treatment Providers Scheme: reinstatement of Italian treatment provider - A.B.R.A.S. Srl (AEI: IT4001SB)

Please see below notice that Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received from the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

What has changed?

Following a remote compliance audit, the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries have reinstated A.B.R.A.S. Srl (AEI: IT4001SB) onto the Offshore BMSB Treatment Providers Scheme.

Offshore treatment provider?

A.B.R.A.S. Srl (AEI: IT4001SB) will be reinstated and listed as 'Accepted' on the Offshore BMSB Treatment Providers Scheme's list of offshore BMSB treatment providers and can perform BMSB heat treatments on Australian and New Zealand bound consignments.

Treatments conducted on or after the reinstatement date will be accepted and assessed for validity on arrival.

Treatments conducted on or after the suspension date, and before the reinstatement date, will not be accepted by the department.

Treatments conducted before the suspension will be managed as per Industry Advice Notice 228-2020: Offshore Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Treatment Providers Scheme: treatment provider suspension - A.B.R.A.S. SRL (AEI: IT4001SB) and Centro Disinfestazione Livornese (IT4004SB)
