Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has been provided with the following update from the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) in relation to the current service import document assessment service levels.
Recent IT outages experienced by the department (Friday 23 April and Tuesday 27 April) together with sustained high import volumes have resulted in the department being outside their service standards for both Biosecurity AND IFIP processing.
The ongoing message from the department is to continue to encourage members towards early lodgement.
FTA will continue to engage with the department to assist in developing and co-designing sustainable solutions referred to in Industry Advice Notice 13-2021
