Congratulations - 40 year anniversary Bullocks Freightmasters International

The origins of Bullocks Freightmasters date back to April 24, 1981 when Ivan and Rosemary Bullock rented 28m2 of office space, furnished it with one desk, one chair, one typewriter, a church bench with a tablecloth, and chair, and started their Customs Brokerage business, trading as I W Bullock & Associates.

Three years later Graeme Bullock, also a licenced customs broker joined the business.

Over the ensuing years the business developed from a customs brokerage to an international forwarding and logistics company providing international air and sea freight facilities along with local transport and warehousing.

In line with these expanded activities a new entity was formed called Freightmasters International Pty Ltd, in1987, and the two businesses traded in parallel.

In 1995 the need for further expansion saw them move into the transport sector and they formed BH Transport services.

In 2016 it was decided to rebrand, and all the existing businesses were renamed Bullocks Freightmasters International Pty Ltd

The development of technology over the years has been hugely important to the development of any business and Bullocks also saw the need to invest heavily into IT. In constructing our systems, we have tried to automate as many tasks as possible.

We have very proudly been accepted as an Australian Trusted Trader with the Australian Border Force as an accredited business complying with the border protection requirements for protection of Australian borders. This accreditation is a status that holds great value both to ourselves and to our clients and is recognised by many of Australia's major trading partners.

Our business also holds Approved Arrangement status with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to manage the Biosecurity issues associated with imported cargoes. Not only does the business hold these accreditations but all our licenced customs brokers hold these accreditations, as well as being held to the enhanced requirements of the Australian Trusted Trader and the conditions of their licences issued by the Australian Border Force under the Customs Act legislation.

Our business continues to operate in the heart of Fremantle and we now have modern first class facilities.

The company commenced as a family business and continues that to this day with four Bullock's working in the business. The current generation represents the fourth generation of Bullock's that have been employed in transport and logistics around the Fremantle Wharf Area.

Through our business development we have made friends all over the world and travelled extensively to meet likeminded associates at various meetings and forums globally.

Bullocks Freightmasters continues to develop and expand to include major project work, ship chartering and part charters. Container volumes continue to increase for both import and export containers. Consolidated import and export containers remain an important market.

We look forward to the future and see continued opportunity to develop and grow the business, as international trade is so important to Australia. This will allow us to provide ongoing employment for our staff and service to our client's needs.
