Purpose
To notify stakeholders that the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system will
replace the Export Documentation (EXDOC) system for dairy from Monday 17 May
2021. This will also result in changes to certificates issued from NEXDOC.
Key points
NEXDOC is a new web-based export system with enhanced features and improved
user experience. This system will replace the current EXDOC system in a staged
approach with dairy being the first commodity to transition to NEXDOC on 17 May
2021.
You will see changes in certificates issued through NEXDOC which will include:
- A new QR code on each certificate
- Formatting changes
- Dairy certificates will be printed on plain paper and security paper will no longer
- be required (from NEXDOC only).
Additionally, the current terminology Request for Permit (RFP) in EXDOC will change
to Request for Export (REX) in NEXDOC.
You will have until close of business Sunday 13 June 2021 to finalise any existing
dairy RFP's in EXDOC before the system is closed for this commodity. This does
not apply to China certification and a specific Industry Advice Notice will be issued
shortly regarding the requirements for China. Please note, all new REX's for dairy
should be lodged in NEXDOC from 17 May 2021.
You will need to register to use NEXDOC for dairy as a client group (formally known
as an EDI user), and if required, export user. Please ensure that you complete your
registration through either the online services portal or via the application form which
can be found on the transitioning commodities to NEXDOC page. For more information
on how to register you can visit the NEXDOC help page.
If you are using a third-party software solution, please ensure you discuss the transition
from EXDOC to NEXDOC with your software provider.
If you require any further information, please check the NEXDOC project page for
updates.
Software users
The department continues to work with software providers and have advised them
of the changes to key dates in relation to the rollout of NEXDOC for dairy.
It is important that you also work closely with your software provider to ensure that
your system needs are met, and you are well positioned to commence using
NEXDOC for dairy on
17 May 2021.
