ABOUT CGT LAW

Customs and Global Trade Law (CGT Law) has been established to provide specialist, industry specific, advice to customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers and exporters.  CGT Law provides clients with advice regarding customs compliance, trade concessions, dumping and countervailing, shipping and transport, commercial agreements and disputes within supply chains.

Russell Wiese, the director of CGT Law, and has practiced in this area for the past 15 years.  During this period there has not been a more challenging time to be a logistics services provider.  Margins are tighter than ever and at the same time, the Australian Border Force has extremely high compliance expectations.  Freight forwarders and customs brokers are often caught in the middle.

CGT Law aims to ease this pressure by providing clear advice based on real experience, at predictable prices.  Russell is excited to continue his work with FTA and APSA members at a firm dedicated to facilitating international trade and transport.
