As a result of stricter inspection and disinfection requirements by the local customs/ port authorities due to COVID-19, the port of Dalian is currently experiencing heavy congestion for refrigerate containers, with most reefer plugs already being occupied.

To avoid the situation that your reefer cargo may not be able to discharge in Dalian upon arrival, please be informed that CMA CGM will stop accepting bookings of reefer shipments bound for Dalian, China, effective from loading date 13 January 2021, until further notice.

For containers in transit, to keep your reefer cargo in premium condition, you are highly recommended to contact your local representative to change the port of discharge/destination.

In case no instruction from you, your reefer cargo will have to be:

  • Temporarily held at the alternative port of transshipment until plugs become available at the port of Dalian; or
  • Discharged at the alternative port of discharge/ destination where the Bill of Lading shipment should be deemed as accomplishment.

As we try our best to safeguard your cargo, please note that all related costs will be on Consignee's account and payable upon delivery.
