Hapag Lloyd - Dalian, China - Import Reefer Update 2

With reference to our previously published CustomerNEWS on the reefer restriction in Dalian, China, we would like to inform that with immediate effect, Dalian Terminal has stopped accepting all reefer shipments regardless of commodity as reefer plugs are fully utilized. The instruction to suspend acceptance of the reefer shipments to Dalian, China will last until further notice. Shipments will be diverted to alternative ports such as Qingdao, Tianjin and other China Ports or hold at Busan, South Korea.

We regret to inform that this situation, which is beyond Hapag-Lloyd's control will continue for the upcoming weeks. We therefore urge your assistance to check your pending orders and the shipments on the way to Dalian for immediate action.

Given the above situation, we would like to offer the following options for affected shipments:

(1) Accept delivery at current port of discharge if situation allows Or,
(2) Divert your reefer containers to another port / destination Or,
(3) Return the reefer container to origin Or,
(4) In case we don't receive any instruction from you, Hapag-Lloyd reserve the right to take necessary arrangement.

Please note that for all options, all additional costs, risks and liabilities related to the storage or movement of the cargo after discharge will be for the account of the cargo owner. We kindly ask for you to provide us with written confirmation of your preferred choice for taking delivery of the cargo at your earliest convenience in order for us to initiate the necessary arrangements. We regret the inconvenience that these circumstances may cause and the terms of this notice shall be read in conjunction with and without prejudice to Hapag-Lloyd's Bill of Lading / Sea Waybill terms and conditions and the Hapag-Lloyd tariff applicable thereto.
