COLS compatibility issues when using Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge

Members will recall earlier in the year there were issues around using Google Chrome when lodging through COLS and making payment. 

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department)  acknowledged through IAN 42 - 2020 there were issues and advised they were addressing same and suggested using Internet Explorer, which assisted members.

In recent days members have again advised of issues with Chrome and now also Microsoft Edge.

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) have over the past few days been talking with officers in the  Business System Development area and they confirm as follows "We've found that the problem has been caused by updated security settings in Google Chrome for the more recent versions (version 85 and above).  The same security settings are applied in Microsoft Edge"

The department also advised that they have identified the issues and a solution to correct the errors is currently in testing and the expectation at this stage is, subject to successful testing, they will endeavor to apply the solution to the system next week, Thursday October 22.

When we have confirmation of the change date we will advise members accordingly. In the meantime we suggest reverting back to Internet Explorer.
