IMPORTANT NOTICE 

 

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19): Postponement and alternate arrangements for meetings scheduled in May 2020  at the WCO Headquarters 

 

30.3.2020 / Brussels 

 

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the WCO Secretariat, in consultation with the Council Chairperson, has carefully assessed the prevailing global circumstances and wishes to inform delegates of the postponement of the following meetings : 

 

1) Data Model Project Team (face-to-face meeting postponed until further notice) 

 2) 50th Session of the Technical Committee on Customs Valuation (session postponed and a double session will take place in autumn) 

 3) 227th/228th Sessions of the Permanent Technical Committee, including a reduced meeting of the ATA/Istanbul Administrative Committee (face-to-face meeting postponed until further notice) 

 4) 57th Session of the Harmonized System Review Sub-Committee (face-to-face meeting postponed until further notice) 

 

The Secretariat is currently exploring different options, including web video conferencing, which could temporarily be used to replace face-to-face meetings. Details on future arrangements will be discussed with the Chairpersons of the different WCO working bodies and additional information will be provided in due course.  The Secretariat will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates.  Please stay tuned and follow the updates on our Website
