Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) received formal advice yesterday (30 December 2019) from the Deputy Secretary, Policy & Innovation at the (Victorian) Department of Transport that Mr Praveen Reddy has been appointed to the position of Executive Director, Freight Victoria.
We look forward to engagement early in 2020 with Mr Praveen Reddy and the Hon. Melissa Horne - Victorian Minister for Ports in terms of outcomes from the Port Pricing and Access Review commissioned by the Victorian Government to examine specific matters such as stevedore-imposed Infrastructure Surcharges and the Port of Melbourne's proposed increased tariff on all full import containers to fund the Port Rail Transformation Project.
