Department of Agriculture turns away import vessel

Friday, December 6, 2019

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice that the Department of Agriculture has refused the ORCA ACE to discharge and has directed the vessel to leave Australian territorial waters.

In response, we understand that the ORCA ACE is leaving Brisbane today and that details of further treatment is now under investigation with the vessel's next destination to be Singapore or Bintan Island.

The estimated timing for the cargo to return back to Australia is expected to be around mid-Jan 2020 at the earliest.

FTA will keep members informed on developments.
