FTA / APSA join industry leaders to meet the Trade Minister

Trade Hub members met with the Minister for Trade, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, on 4 December 2019 in Canberra.

The purpose of the Roundtable was to discuss how government and industry could work better together to promote trade and investment outcomes to benefit Australian commerce (and Australians generally). 

Issues discussed included ways to strengthen the World Trade Organisation, opportunities to further strengthen trade and investment with countries in our region, and priorities for new governance of digital trade.  

Minister Birmingham agreed to meet regularly with Trade Hub members. 
Trade Hub is a group of Australian industry trade groups with a shared interest in increasing awareness of the benefits of trade for all Australians.
