In yet another positive step in our executive level engagement with government, The Hon Karen Andrews MP, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology has appointed the Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) to the International Trade Remedies Forum (ITRF).
All appointments to the ITRF have been made for a 12 month term, until 31 December 2020.
The ITRF plays an important role in providing advice to Government on Australia's anti-dumping system. It facilitates open and robust discussions on the anti-dumping system and ensures a diverse range of stakeholder views are heard.
In formal advice received 2 December 2019, the Anti-Dumping Commissioner welcomed FTA's participation "I look forward to working with the Freight & Trade Alliance to ensure a strong and fair anti-dumping and countervailing system for Australia".
