Stink Bugs, and other pests; the Marine Insurance Ramifications for policy coverage and recoveries.

We are presently in the 2019/2020 Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) season and now have another unexpected threat - this week a consignment of motor vehicles has been reported as being refused entry into Australia due to the presence of the rare heath snail.

Are you ready to face the challenges of such biosecurity risks?

This presentation through practical examples will demonstrate the issues arising for policy indemnity and subrogated recoveries when a consignment is contaminated by stink bugs, snails or other pests resulting in a vessel being ordered not to call into Australian waters.

The presention is by Maurice Lynch, Special Counsel Mills Oakley

Maurice has over 10 years' experience in the trade, transport and insurance industries and advises leading Australian and overseas companies in these sectors on all aspects of commercial disputes including cross border litigation, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance.
