Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received the following from the Department of Home Affairs.
A discussion paper has been prepared on the import control of tablet presses under regulation 4G of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956.
We invite interested parties to make a submission to the discussion paper, which poses questions about the impact of the import control on the illicit drug market and whether the import control should be broadened to include encapsulators and incomplete machines. Please note submissions close on 29 March 2019.
