Further to our previous communication dated 3 April and 5 March 2018, please be reminded that China Customs Advanced Manifest (CCAM) rules will come into effect from 1 June 2018 (sailing date from load port).
We wish to clarify that the following mandatory customer identifier codes must be included when submitting your Shipping Instruction for CCAM filing as required by Chinese Customs.

Please ensure to add these codes in either the shipper/consignee fields or the cargo description fields of the Shipping Instruction:

  1. Consignee Enterprise Code - Uniform Social Credit Code (USCC) of the Consignee is similar to "Tax (payer) Identification Number" (TIN No.). Each USCC contains 18 digits or letters in total. In case of "to order B/L", please advise tax ID number of first Notify Party.
  2. Shipper Enterprise Code is Shipper's tax identification number for New Zealand, and Australian Business Number (ABN) for Australia.

Please note in order to meet the advanced manifest deadline, we ask that you submit your shipping instructions 40 hours prior to vessel ETA at load port. If we do not receive your SI by this deadline, we cannot load your container on the vessel, as it will not have obtained advanced manifest clearance. All port costs resulting from re-planning shipments that could not load, will be for the shipper's account.

We thank you for your support for Maersk Line. We will keep you informed of any further development. Should you have any questions or require any assistance regarding this new regulation, please do not hesitate to contact your local Maersk Line representative.
