BROWN MARMORATED STINK BUG Price and Speed update on the mandatory direction by DAWR to have all containers imported from Italy fumigated
As per our notice today that:- The FCL Fumigation backlog has cleared and from Tuesday 13th February we can receive FCL Fumigation bookings, we can also advise that we have made arrangements to take steps to alleviate the recent bottle-neck of containers we have experienced over the previous weeks, by obtaining additional land to perform these mandatory fumigations which will assist in providing a more timely turnaround of the volumes of fumigations still expected in coming months.
We will continue to provide fumigation services 24/7 to satisfy these extraordinary demand, and furthermore, Price and Speed have added additional qualified fumigators to assist with this current demand.
In an effort to cover some of the costs for the additional land, equipment and fumigators, we will be applying a surcharge for the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug fumigations only, effective 14th February 2018.
$55-00 + GST per container
$10-00 per cubic metre for LCL cargo, with a minimum charge of 3 cubic metre + GST
Price and Speed has taken these actions in an effort to counteract the effects of this extra ordinary event and to best serve our industry.
