As part of the development of the Rous Head Industrial Park, staged works are continuing on the construction of roads and installation of services.

A number of road changes, including temporary closures and traffic re-routing, are required.

Arrangements have been made for Rous Head businesses affected to get to and from their premises but the temporary closure of North Mole Drive means North Mole is not accessible for the duration of the works.

Fremantle Ports regrets any inconvenience and will advertise the re-opening date for North Mole Drive and the North Mole as soon as this is known.

Access to the ferry terminal at Rous Head Harbour is not affected.

Works are continuing on the construction of the new North Mole Drive and dual-use path adjacent to the seawall.

Once open the road will enable light vehicles, cyclists, walkers and fisher folk to access North Mole without having to compete with heavy truck traffic.

For the further amenity of the community, Fremantle Ports is planning to put in some landscaping adjacent to the Rous Head Industrial Park, immediately next to the southern end of Port Beach.

The public area will have seating, shade, a viewing platform and bike racks.

More than half of the 60,000 plants destined for Rous Head have been planted.

Driver bulletins and tenant updates are being distributed as the works proceed.

In the interests of safety and efficiency, the co-operation of all port users is essential while the road works are carried out.
