2025-2026 FTA CPD BORDER COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS

The 2025-2026 CPD Border Compliance Program sessions for Perth and Brisbane are upon us. Last chance to book for Perth which is being held this Saturday. 2025-2026 FTA ONLINE CPD & CBC TRAINING PACKAGES

FTA offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) training online for the customs broker licencing period 1 April to 31 March each year. The cost of an online training package is $150 (excl. gst) for member organisations with bulk discounts available on a sliding scale. New content is now ready for your completion.

Licensed customs brokers not employed by a corporate FTA member, can purchase an Individual Membership which includes online CPD & CBC training for the cost of only $300 (excl. gst) per customs broker licensing period.

ANL / CMA CGM Celebration

Sal Milici, Tom Jensen, Nicholas Grunbaum (Bunnings) and Regan Muntz (Officeworks)

During the recent FTA training events in Melbourne, Sal Milici and Tom Jensen were privileged to have been hosted by Shane Walden and the team at ANL to celebrate a major milestone. Oceania's first container vessel voyage powered by LNG – a significant achievement for ANL / CMA CGM and a glimpse into the future of sustainable shipping. 

SCLAA Site Visit -  Silk Logistics


Last week Amanda Bradfield, Head of International Freight & Logistics - FTA | APSA was invited by the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) to a site visit through the Silk Contract Logistics' impressive Kenwick facility, an outstanding showcase of sustainability in action. (LtoR - John Heathfield  (Silk) Sam Craddock (Sik) Brian Lynn (SCLAA) and David Sutherland (SCLAA)

A highlight of the morning was hearing from Sam Craddock, one of the driving forces behind the development, who shared valuable insights into the building and how staff wellbeing was a key consideration throughout the design.

Voluntary Port Performance Framework Quarterly Dashboard

Freight Victoria, in the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), has released the quarter one 2025 quarterly dashboard under the Voluntary Port Performance Model (VPPM). Industry stakeholders can view the dashboard by visiting the Voluntary Performance Monitoring Framework (VPMF) webpage. READ MORE

Fremantle Wharf Maintenance UPDATE

Following previous communication from Fremantle Ports regarding essential berth maintenance at Fremantle Port's container berths, please find attached the updated maintenance schedule.
 
Patrick Terminal Berth 9 Shutdown: 19 May – 26 May 2025  
These maintenance works are necessary to ensure ongoing safety and operational efficiency.

DP World - West Swanson Terminal:
Truck Entry Transformation Project

DP World West Swanson Terminal will begin the transformation from the current entry gates at the Eastern end of Coode rd (cnr of Dock Link rd) to Mackenzie rd. This is scheduled to begin at the end of May, beginning of June. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 1st quarter of 2026.There will be 3 phases that will impact truck drivers. READ MORE
