MHD - American Airlines puts pressure on Australian importers

American Airlines is suspending passenger flights into Australia for at least 2 months from the 1^st of September.

Sara Hales, Head of Aviation and Air Cargo at Freight and Trade Alliance (FTA), says the gap between Australia's aviation recovery with the rest of the world continues to grow.

"The decision by American Airlines to pull out of Australia is simply the first in what we can expect to be a number of similar withdrawals," she says.
