PODCAST with REBECCA DYE (Commissioner US Federal Maritime Commission)

Thursday, April 8, 2021
As a part of our series of podcasts with industry and government leaders, I had the privilege this morning (8 April 2021) of speaking to Commissioner Rebecca Dye (US Federal Maritime Commission)

A fascinating discussion focused on international shipping challenges over the last 12 months, the history and contemporary role of the FMC, competition compliance by liner shipping services / NVOCCs and importantly, a focus on the current investigation of container detention practices impacting shippers.

As well as providing interesting insights into the role of the US 'competition enforcement agency on the water', the recording will provide an important platform for our ongoing advocacy to provide regulatory reforms and necessary protections for Australian exporters, importers, freight forwarders and transport providers.
