Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has partnered with Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean (WWO) on our advocacy for an independent review on BMSB.

FTA will be meeting with WWO executives from Oslo who wil be in Australia early next month to review next steps in advocacy activity.

Spreading the Word

Further to our notice this morning, we understand that last night's interview with Ross Greenwood on Money Matters reached an audience of 90,000 2GB and 4BC listeners.

The aim of the approach from FTA is to increase the public awareness of BMSB and associated biosecurity threats and costs to industry.

Independent Review

FTA has submitted a formal request to the Hon David Littleproud, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources for the Federal Government to immediately commission anindependent review on BMSB measures.

We are hopeful of receiving a positive response to our request and will keep members up to date with developments.
