Is it my responsibility to maintain my CBC completion records in the Learnhub? (FTA FAQ Updated 3/3/2023)
The CBC Providers will provide records of completion to the department to enter into Learnhub.
However, it is your responsibility to keep your own evidence of CBC completion as they may be requested by the department for auditing purposes.
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has been fielding enquiries regarding the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) Industry Advice Notice 33-2023 and recent email sent to 19.1 or 19.2 accredited persons which advised the Implementation of the Learnhub Education and Training Platform for Continued Biosecurity Competency Training for class 19 accredited persons.
Please note below answers to questions received from FTA members to date:
Do I need to update my email details with the Department?
You should have received an email from the department regarding the new Learnhub.
Check that the email is unique to yourself eg. Not a group or shared email address such as brokers@ABCCustoms.com.au
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE EMAIL, IT IS NOT GENERIC AND IS UNIQUE TO YOURSELF - NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED
If you use an individual company email address eg Joe@ABCCustoms.com.au it is essential and your responsibility to maintain your new information with the Department if you change employment.
How do I update my email address with the Department?
If you have identified that your email address with the Department requires updating, you will need to complete the Change of details for a class 19 approved arrangement – classes 19.1 and 19.2 form) SECTION E & F (only) & email to AEP.Arrangements@agriculture.gov.au
What email address should I use?
It must be unique to the individual and always accessible (particularly if you commence work at a new brokerage);
It does not have to be an individual's personal email address;
A generic email addresses cannot be used.
If you use an individual company email address eg Joe@ABCCustoms.com.au it is essential and your responsibility to maintain your new information with the Department if you change employment.
Accredited persons need to change their registered email address if they:
- have not updated their email address after changing employment
- cannot access the email account
- currently share their email address with someone else
- use a generic email address that is accessible by other people
Note: If the accredited person already uses a unique email address that is current they are not required to provide a change of details form.
What does generic email mean?
Generic is referring to an email addresses not connected to a specific person such as brokers@ABCCustoms.com.au.
Can I use a Gmail or Hotmail email?
Yes
What should I do if I did not receive an email from the Department?
If you are a 19.1 or 19.2 accredited person and did not receive an email from the Department, it may indicate that the email address in their records is not current or incorrect. You should complete the Change of details for a class 19 approved arrangement – classes 19.1 and 19.2 form) SECTION E & F (only) & email to AEP.Arrangements@agriculture.gov.au
When do I need to update my email address with the Department?
· If required, accredited persons should update this information by no later than 29 March 2023 to a Unique individual unshared email address
How do I complete the assessment?
FTA as a CBC provider will still conduct the CBC assessment on our platform as per previous years.
Do I need access to the new Learnhub to undertake the 2023-24 CBC Activity?
Accredited persons will require access to the Learnhub for the 2023/24 mandatory CBC webinar and resources.
