New Email Process We are changing how we email you! Fish Names (FN) are moving across to the FRDC system (as the accredited Standard Development Organisation (SDO)), that will be emailing you directly on behalf of the FN Committee. Within the next hour you will receive a copy of this same email using the FRDC system - please check your inbox after this time and if you cant find the email, head to your junk/spam folder and add us to your safe senders list. If you have any questions around this new process, please email information@frdc.com.au. Fish Names Committee (FNC) Meeting – FNC 42 FNC members met in October 2022. Fish Names Online Database The Fish Names Database you can access directly here. There are still updates occurring to the website itself and we will be creating resources on how to use the website and database in the coming months. Next Fish Names Committee (FNC) Meeting – May 2023 If you are submitting an application to amend the Australian Fish Names Standard AS 5300, either by adding a new species or updating a currently listed species, all completed applications with supporting documents must be emailed through by 31 March 2023. This will ensure they are added to the agenda for review. The application form can be found here. Email the completed document with any attachments to FNC@frdc.com.au. Also, you can use this email to get in touch if you have any questions. FN Project Manager Update I, Meaghan Dodd, have stepped down as the APN and FN Project Manager and currently formalising the close-out. It has been a big 18 months, where we have developed how the Standards operate and connect online. Whilst, it has been a very rewarding role, I will be taking the time to focus on my business, Intuitive Food Solutions, on improvement projects and training within the seafood industry. I want to thank FRDC and the Committees for having me as part of their team, but also you, as key fish names stakeholders and wish you all the best for 2023. I am looking forward to seeing what the Standards achieve in the coming years! FRDC will be appointing the new Project Manager and will inform you in due process.
