The Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) is the designated peak shipper body granted status by the Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport under Part X of the Consumer & Competition Act to represent the interests of Australian shippers generally in relation to liner cargo shipping services. The following notices has been received and is available to members for comment:

I am writing to inform you that the Department has received three Form 4 Notices of the Happening of an Affecting Event (Form 4) under Part X of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Evergreen Shipping Agency (Australia) Pty Ltd has submitted three Form 4s for the AIX/NEAX Service (NEAX) Outwards and Inwards, details below.
Event details – Due to severe congestion expected at the port of Melbourne, and in order to reduce delay and recover the schedule, the Ever Unicorn 155S/N will undertake a change of port rotation, now calling Melbourne (ETA 1 December 2022) ahead of Sydney. Melbourne exporters will be impacted due to early arrival of vessel. Sydney importers and exporters will be impacted due to the change in port rotation.
Event details – Due to severe congestion expected at the port of Melbourne, and in order to reduce delay and recover the schedule, the Charlotte Schulte 094S/N will undertake a change of port rotation, now calling Melbourne (ETA 3 December 2022) ahead of Sydney. Melbourne exporters will be impacted due to early arrival of vessel. Sydney importers and exporters will be impacted due to the change in port rotation.
Event details – Due to severe congestion expected at the port of Melbourne, and in order to reduce delay and recover the schedule, the Hyundai Tacoma 0119S/N will undertake a change of port rotation, now calling Melbourne (ETA 9 December 2022) ahead of Sydney. Melbourne exporters will be impacted due to early arrival of vessel. Sydney importers and exporters will be impacted due to the change in port rotation.
I have noted these Notices of the Happening of an Affecting Event for the said agreement and will enter the details into the Register of Liner Shipping database to reflect the events details.
