Big summer of events at Victoria Quay

There's a whole lot to do at Victoria Quay this summer, including concerts, a movie marathon, a microbrewery opening, Perth Festival's opening event and Perth Festival B Shed performances!

Free Movie Marathon starts this Friday!

Join us for 10 consecutive nights of movie magic at B Shed. A different movie each night with free popcorn and ice cream, and free beanbags for the first 50 people (or bring your own rugs, cushions and low chairs). Doors open at 6.30pm for 7.30pm screenings.

 

B Shed Builds

COMMUNITY LEGO® EXHIBITION
 

B Shed, Victoria Quay

10am-3pm Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 January

Fremantle Ports and the WA Maritime Museum are excited to present B SHED BUILDS, a special two-day event showcasing models built by LEGO® fans and enthusiasts in WA. Vote for your favourite build in our Peoples' Choice Award. And don't forget the Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO® Bricks exhibition is on now until 30 January at the WA Maritime Museum.

Gage Roads opening soon at A Shed

 

Gage Roads Brew Co.'s microbrewery in historic A Shed will open the public's eyes to the charm of the port. Opening this month, the heritage-listed goods shed has been lovingly refurbished and transformed. A Shed is going to be the hot-ticket food and drink destination this summer. Gage Roads has done an outstanding job preserving all of A Shed's features during development, which was essential.

Escape - Perth Festival opening event at Victoria Quay

SATURDAY 11 & SUNDAY 12 FEBRUARY
 

Over two magical nights, the quays, docks, warehouses and beachfront of Fremantle will undergo an extraordinary transformation. Music, stunning light installations, mass community participation, performance, food, dance, ceremony and mayhem fuse into a joyous affirmation of belonging.

Six Perth Festival performances in B Shed

 

In historic, atmospheric B Shed this February:

  • Stella Donnelly (pictured)- A hometown show from a Fremantle fave (Friday 18 February)
  • WA Mixtape - Heat a soundtrack to WA life with new ears (Saturday 19 February)
  • I Liked It, BUT ..., - A very silly look at very serious shows, transforming the theatre into a pub trivia night (Sunday 20 February)
  • BARKAA - Meet the new matriarch of Australian rap (Friday 25 February)
  • Alter Boy - A music experience championing inclusivity, accessibility and empowerment (Saturday 26 February)
  • Warranma! Sing in language - A celebration of First Nations language song for the whole family (Sunday 27 February)

WA Maritime Museum school-holiday program

 

The WA Maritime Museum on Victoria Quay has a packed school-holiday program that includes exhibitions, workshops, tours, fishing clinics, a pirate shipwreck story and a LEGO® party and movie.

E Shed Markets is open Fridays - Sundays

Located in a magnificent historical warehouse in the centre of Victoria Quay, E Shed Markets is a stone's throw from Fremantle Railway Station, the WA Maritime Museum and the Rottnest ferry terminals. With a massive licensed alfresco terrace looking over Fremantle's picturesque working harbour, E Shed Markets is the only waterfront market in Western Australia. From here you can watch the boats and ships passing by. Come for the international food and music, local handicrafts, antiques and collectables, the warm aroma of a coffee and friendly banter from stallholders. The popular E Shed Markets offers an array of tasty food options at the food court, as well as a distinctive shopping experience for those after something a little different. E Shed Markets operates Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most public holidays: general markets 9am - 5pm; food court 9am - 8pm with live music each weekend!

Victoria Quay
 

Victoria Quay is the public waterfront area of the Port of Fremantle's Inner Harbour. It is a vibrant destination that is home to the WA Maritime Museum, B Shed ferry terminal, E Shed Markets, soon-to-open Gage Roads Brew Co. in A Shed and Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation.
