Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) is delighted to launch our Spring 2018 - CPD - Border and Biosecurity Compliance Program.

First up in Brisbane (Novotel Brisbane Airport) on 12 September and then Sydney (Novotel Brighton Le Sands) on 26 September - both are half day programs (11am to 5pm) with a focus on trade obligations, risks and ethics - 19.5 customs broker CPD points.

These sessions will be followed by our first regional conference format event which will be hosted in Melbourne at the Hyatt Place , Essendon Fields. This will be an extended interactive program (8.30am to 4.30pm) - 24 customs broker CPD points.

PROGRAM

Consistent to all regional events will be the following content:

• Australian Border Force Compliance Update 

• CEF Targeted Consignments - reforms, compensation and industry obligations

• Biosecurity - cost recovery, Highly Compliant Importer Program and operational update (BMSB, COLS and Approved Arrangements) 

• Trusted Trader - reduced intervention, origin advance rulings (minimising need for COO) duty deferral, MRAs - what they mean for Australian exporters

• Air cargo security requirements - count-down to 1 March 2019

• Legal and ethical obligations of trade professionals
