CUSTOMS BROKER LICENCE RENEWALS

As detailed in DIBP Notice No. 2017/38 all customs broker licenses will expire on 30 June 2018.

It is recommended that renewals are paid, completed and returned as soon as possible to assist with the process. Ideally all licence renewals should be completed and lodged no later than 22 June, although will be accepted up until 29 June.

A renewal received after 29 June will not be processed, resulting in the licence expiring on 30 June.

The Client Search function in the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) can be used to determine if your application has completed processing. Please wait 7 days after sending through your renewal. For corporate licence holders the end date is displayed on the Client Summary screen. For other licence holders searching against your CCID (or name) will display your client record and licence end date. If the End Date is not displaying 30 JUN 2021 then the renewal process has not been completed.

For further enquiries contact brokerlicencerenewal@homeaffairs.gov.au.

DEPOT & WAREHOUSE LICENCE RENEWAL

Depot & Warehouse licence renewal invoices have been sent to the respective licensed establishments for payment. If you have not received your licence renewal invoice please contact National Depot & Warehouse Licensing, at licensingrenewals@homeaffairs.gov.au.

 Please note:

  • All warehouse licence fees must be paid within twenty-eight days of the date on which they become payable. If payment has not been received by that time, the Comptroller-General of Customs may suspend and subsequently cancel the licence.

  • All depot licence fees must be paid before the end of the financial year, a Collector may, until the charge is paid or at the end of 90 days immediately following the end of the financial year (whichever occurs first), refuse to permit goods that are the subject to customs control to be received into the depot. If the holder fails to pay the charge within 90 days immediately following the end of the financial year, the licence expires at the end of that period of 90 days.

FTA has a dedicated training package that Depot operators will find invaluable to ensure that operational staff are able to complete day to day activities with confidence that they are compliant with legal requirements. - contact Andrew Crawford if you would like further information.
