The Turnbull Government has achieved another milestone today with the 100th business signing up to the Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) programme.

The Minister for Immigration and Border Protection Peter Dutton said ATT is one of Australia's most significant international trade reforms; modernising how we facilitate trade and manage the volume, complexity and risk at our borders.

ATT demonstrates this Government's commitment to ensuring the integrity and security of our border whilst supporting Australian businesses to be as economically competitive as possible.

"Australian Trusted Trader is all about creating a mutually-beneficial partnership between government and industry and I am pleased to announce that Superbee Honey Factory, one of Australia's largest honey suppliers and our 100th Trusted Trader, will now reap all the benefits of the programme," Mr Dutton said.

Ross Christiansen from Superbee Honey Factory said ATT will provide enormous opportunities for them to expand internationally.

"We already export our honey products to a number of countries and being a part of Trusted Trader will now allow us to have quicker access to market, making us more competitive," Mr Christiansen said.

As part of ATT, Mr Dutton has also announced a new streamlined reporting benefit will be implemented to further enhance border clearances.

From next month Trusted Traders, or their licensed customs brokers, will be able to lodge a single import declaration for a consolidated shipment, reducing the need for multiple declarations.

"We are making it easier for accredited Trusted Traders to be more trade competitive and this new benefit will also reduce import processing costs for Australian businesses," Mr Dutton said.
