Farewell Greg Winstanley, welcome back Rowan Bullock

On Friday, 21 April, the team in Melbourne bid a fond farewell to Greg Winstanley.

After three eventful years with DP World Australia — and a long career on the waterfront, which started with Patrick in the 1980s — Greg has made the decision to retire, to take more time with his family and to travel.

On behalf of everyone at DP World Australia, I'd like to thank Greg for his commitment to and passion for the industry over the span of his career, as National Landside and Operations Efficiency Manager, and, more recently, as Acting General Manager, Operations, Melbourne Terminal.

Greg's next challenge will be an 800 km walk through France and Spain on the Camino Trail. We wish you well!

On Monday, 1 May, we'll welcome a familiar face back to DP World Australia when Rowan Bullock returns as Acting General Manager, Operations, Melbourne Terminal.

Rowan has a long affiliation with DP World and previously, with P&O Ports. After starting his career on the waterfront in Brisbane as a Container Repairs Manager, Rowan went on to serve as Operations Manager in Brisbane and Sydney, before taking up a National Operations Manager post in 2003.

He went on to lead terminals for DP World in Constanta, Romania and Busan, Korea, before returning to Brisbane to manage the go-live of the Automated Stacking Terminal facility.

Over the course of his interim appointment, Rowan will offer leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Melbourne team, as we conduct a global search for a permanent General Manager, Operations, for Melbourne.

Over this interim period, I will be spending more time in Melbourne, basing myself at the terminal to provide additional support to the team.

Once again, thank you to Greg Winstanely for his tireless commitment to the stevedoring logistics industry, and welcome back to Rowan Bullock.

With pride,

Max Kruse
Chief Operating Officer
