Board Announcements- APSA

The Australian Peak Shippers Association is proud to welcome two new appointments to our Board of Directors in 2017, Mrs. Olga Harrington (Manildra Group) and Mr. Michael Lamperd (Bega).

The Board is also pleased to report the election of Mr. Paul Blake (Cloud Global) to Chairman of the Australian Peak Shippers Association. Paul is an experienced international trade professional who will bring a wealth of experience and integrity to the role. Paul will be joined by Goran Miljanic (Visy Industries) as the inaugural Treasurer of the Association.

We would also like to acknowledge our outgoing Directors, Mrs. Sue Perry (Murray-Gouburn) and Mr. Taylor Hall (Valley Pack) for their contribution to the Board in 2016. Sue has been an APSA Director for 17 years, originally representing Dairy Australia, and she will be sorely missed. Both Sue and Taylor will continue to participate in APSA activities as valued members in 2017.

The Australian Peak Shippers Association represents in excess of 500,000 TEU and is the peak body for Australia's ocean freight exporters as designated under the Competition and Consumer Act.

In a time of significant market uncertainty there's never been a more important time for shippers to have a unified voice.

Robert Coode- acknowledgements

Most importantly, APSA would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions over many years of Mr. Robert Coode who today presided over his last APSA AGM, after 5 years in the role of Executive President. Robert has a distinguished career in international trade, including over 43 years at Murray-Goulburn. Robert will continue to be retained in a support role for the Association, in a member support and business development role.
