ANNOUNCEMENT: Minister for Infrastructure to open Tasmanian Shippers Forum 


When: February 15th, 9.30am (Registration from 9.00am)
Where: Australian Maritime College, Newnham, Launceston 

 
The organising bodies are proud to host the Tasmanian Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon. Rene Hidding MP, to officially open the first Tasmanian Shippers Forum. 

This compliments an already strong programme including presentations from the CEO of the Port of Melbourne, the CEO of Tasports, the Chairman of the Tasmanian Logistics Committee and key representatives from Government.

The following topics will be presented:
 
  • increased capacity across Bass Strait;
  • interest to service import and export trades by world leading shipping lines;
  • freight equalisation;
  • port development by international terminal operators; and
  • desire to grow international markets
