Notice to Industry:

New process allowing amendment of Verified Gross Mass of export containers

Dear Customers,

DP World Australia is pleased to announce a new process allowing amendment of Verified Gross Mass of export containers after they have been received in a DP World Australia terminal from Monday 7 November 2016.

Should a VGM amendment be required for export containers already received into the terminal, the shipping line must submit a Special Service Request: Change of Container VGM to the DP World Australia Customer Centre.

Multiple requests for amendments of VGM  are allowed in one SSR.

The shipping line shall be satisfied with the information / declaration provided by the shipper, which is in line with SOLAS regulations prior submitting a SSR Change of Container VGM. It is the shipper's responsibility to provide a correct VGM prior any container being loaded. They are required to declare the VGM at the time of lodging a PRA. The shipping line, as responsible party in this case, will keep documents received by the shipper in relation to this SSR for auditing purposes.

This process will significantly reduce time and cost to DP World Australia customers by avoiding the need to remove the container from the DP World Australia terminal via B959 Customs release and to submit the new PRA.

Adequate change of status fee will apply as well as all other applicable charges as per the contract.

For future information, please contact the DP World Australia Customer Centre.

Thank you for your continued working relationship with the DP World Australia Customer Centre.
