Imported Food - regulation

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) received advice that the Imported Food Control Regulations 1993 will sunset on 1 October 2018.

The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources have commenced a review of these Regulations to manage the sunset process. An important part of the review is a period of public consultation on the Regulations.

The period for public consultation has commenced. The department has published a document to facilitate this consultation and to advise of the department's proposals for changes to the Regulations when they are remade.
