SPONSOR OF THE WEEK

TOMAX LOGISTICS is excited to launch a brand new, never seen before, export consolidation service offering the lowest pricing in the market servicing the Asian region.

This new service offers trans-shipping via Shenzhen (Shekou) as opposed to other services via Singapore or Hong Kong. The benefit of trans-shipping via Shekou is easier, faster and cheaper access to Chinese destinations, as well as easy access to the rest of Asia.

Trans-shipping in China has not been possible before and has been made available only to this LCL program offered by Tomax Logistics.

This is purely a wholesale service for forwarders to take advantage of, and will not be marketed to direct exporters. Services start in July and will begin with Asian cargo only, but will shortly expand to cover the rest of the world.

Unlocking value across the container logistics supply chain

Transport inefficiencies that start at the terminal gate have a flow-on effect right across the container logistics supply chain, trapping value and depressing profitability for all involved.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Connecting the community of container depots and terminals, cargo owners, shipping lines, and road transporters, Containerchain solutions support synchronised communication and operational predictability.

Features include real-time paperless tracking, frictionless information exchange, process automation, and optimised asset utilisation - as well as total container movement visibility for more proactive planning. The result is lowered cost of operations and improved profitability for one of the world's most essential industries.

Global Finance Report

Weekly Market Commentary
OPEC+, is the new expanded OPEC, including Russia and other major non-OPEC oil producers. This new, expansion organisation, has agreed to increase oil production. Meeting in Vienna this week, after pressure from the Trump administration, they have ignored Iran and agreed to increase supply. This allowed for a relief rally in equities, after a volatile week, dominated by expanding global trade wars. The trade negotiations are going on behind the scenes and the tit-for-tat rhetoric is a critical part of these negotiations. The EU have responded to the US Steel and Aluminium tariffs, with politically targeted selective tariffs, inviting a 20% tariff to be levied on EU car exports to the US. These 'trade wars' are disruptive to global markets, especially upsetting trade exposed nations, but will be resolved. ... read more
